Month 6!!!

This month, Alex got to go to two famous Toledo sights in the same day!  Plus he also got to go to a wedding as well. So it's been pretty busy, what with Dad getting done with his job at Bowling Green and getting ready to move to Jersey...

So here are a few pictures to tide you over...

Alex got a new bouncy chair that hangs between the living room and the kitchen. When he wants to get active, and we don't want our laps broken, we put him in this. He loves it, though he has been known to fall asleep in it after a long session of bouncing...

Sometimes when in the crib, he motors those legs around and pulls down something he's not supposed to. This is a blanket we had draped over the end of the crib, which he's somehow managed to pull down and cover himself up.  He's happy now, but not when he covered his head up!  Pooh looks on in wonder...

This has nothing to do with Alex, but just wanted you to see what Dad looks like all spiffy. This is trent's wedding reception, and I was curious why the boy didn't shave before his wedding? Must have been the jet lag. Either that or Barbara likes her guys scruffy.   I on the other hand, am clean shaven.  Who has more hair overall? Jury's out on that one.

He got all dressed up to go to a bachelorette party- yeah, he was the only guy there surrounded by women... do you think he knows that in this picture?  Or is he just happy to be sporting monkeys on his clothes?

Just before the bachelorette party, being held by Kelly, a graduate student at BGSU.  She really likes holding Alex, though I think he likes his shades better. It was really hot, so the monkey overalls had to go.  But the shades- he didn't mind so much being out in the sun with them on!

This was a few weeks earlier- in his high chair. Sometimes, when you feed him and then turn around to do the dishes, you get done and he's already long gone...  Sometimes we feel like bad parents leaving him in positions like this: but we then go and find a camera and snap pictures, THEN rescue him :)

Well, we then went to the Zoo. We got in free since it was Neonatal Intensive Care Unit reunion... it was hot, it was sunny, and the "food" provided ended up being only very sugary cupcakes and very sugary fruit juice, but we did get to see lots of animals, and animal babies, and animal butts... then, at the end, when we saw the really cool animals (seals, polar bears) he was out cold.... sleeping.

Alex and his first real live monkey!  He was really chatty with the monkey, which was really interested in him too... Plus the monkey had a beard, which looked funny.

We got to almost see a baby elephant. Almost. But we did get a really good view of the butt of another elephant... Yeah, I know, elephant buffalo shots aren't that funny...

By this time, Alex is a goner. And then this polar bear walks about 5 feet in front of him. Sigh... And the bear didn't even offer us a Coke...

And then, on the same day, we went to the pseudo-famous Tony Packo's, as mentioned many times by Klinger on M.A.S.H. So we thought we HAD to go and see if their Hungarian hot dogs were that good. Plus, they were supposedly the home of hundreds of signed hot dog buns by famous people... like...

Jamie Farr of Course... Radar is above right, but I didn't see it until I developed the film... Ah well, at least I got  Barbara Bush clear too...

I thought this was cool. It was on an out of the way spot- one of my favorite comedians Shelley Berman. Okay, I do admit this was due to finding one of my mom's old LPs many years ago and liking it...  Also, who would have thought that Soupy Sales would be on a bun in Toledo?

Well, that's it.. The computer says this whole page will take 177 seconds to load over a 56.6K modem. So I'm sorry in advance for the long load times. One of these days I'll get smart and make these Progressive JPEGs...
